Police Stations

Alice Springs is the regional centre of Central Australia and known as Mparntwe to the Arrente people.

The Anthony's Lagoon Police Station has a rich history that dates back to its establishment in 1895.

Avon Downs Police District was first known as the Rankine River Police District. The new station now known as Avon Downs was built in 1963.

The Borroloola police district is about 75,000 square kilometer's. With eight sworn officers. It has four main communities and has substantial mining and cattle stations.

The fist Police Station in the Wave Hill district. It was closed in 1918 in favour of a station at Wave Hill knows as Kalkaringi

The original Brocks’s Creek Police Station was built in Adelaide River in 1884 and transported to Brock’s Creek in 1897.

The Daly River Police Station was first built at Wooliana in 1915. It is now located on Low Level Road. Daly River is a very popular tourist destination and is subject to major flooding in the wet season

The Daly Waters Police Station was opened in 1964 and closed in 1985. It was the local Court House and Post office and was a one man station with an Aboriginal Tracker
