The lines without a yellow background indicate that the member either enlisted with the armed services (bright green) or was seconded to the NAOU (orange and deep green). The Battle for Australia gutted the NT Police but at the time a large military prescence had a massive impact upon policing in the Territory and defence of the nation was the first priority.
