DARWIN, Friday: The hearing of a charge of robbery with violence against a Northern Territory policeman began here today. Constable Alfred DeaneSprigg has denied having assaulted and robbed Chinese seaman Ho Kai Ching, aboard the freighter Isabel, in Darwin harbor on January 18.

DARWIN, Thursday: Chinese seaman Ho Kai-ching, ofthe Panamanian freighter Isabel, was today summonsed alleging he committed perjury. The summons sets out that on March 2, at Darwin Police Court, he committed wilful and corrupt perjury by giving false evidence against Constable Alfred Dean Sprigg, who was charged with having robbed Ho Kai-ching of £18 with violence aboard the Isabel at Darwin Harbor on January 18.
The case against Sprigg was dismissed. Sprigg has issued a summons alleging malicious persecution by Captain Sidney Francis Forsyth, Darwin agent for the Isabel.
