Bow Hills
The fist Police Station in the Wave Hill district. It was closed in 1918 in favour of a station at Wave Hill knows as Kalkaringi

The first police station in the Wave Hill district was the Bow Hills Police Station. The Bow Hills Police Station was located about 16kms from modern-day Kalkaringi in the western central region of the NT. It was eventually closed in 1918 in favour of a Police Station at Wave Hill, which had been the original intent when Bow Hills was established.
(From the Administrators Report of 1912-1913) there is little information on the station but it is believed to have been in operation from 1916-1918.
Constable Samuel Francis 'Frank' Keating, a returned serviceman joined the Northern Territory Police in June 2016. He was transferred to Bow Hills on the 2nd September 1916. He submitted his resignation on the 22nd October 1916 for reasons of ill health. Before the paperwork could reach Headquarters, Constable Keating dies. The exact cause of death was not known and was attributed to a general breakup of his system. He is buried at Bow Hills.
